James Ward, 21, of Highland Park was arrested in Wilkes Barre, Pa., Wednesday, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A. Caputo said.
A 27-year-old New Brunswick man was found injured outside the apartments at 99 Phelps Avenue and was treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for a gunshot wound, authorities said.
Further details were not released.
Three other suspects previously were arrested in the shooting:
- Robert Zucker, 33, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with attempted murder and robbery on May 20
- A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with armed robbery on May 21
- Jada Gibbs, 21, of New Brunswick, also was charged with armed robbery on May 22
Ward awaits extradition to New Jersey, authorities said.
